The UConn Huskies, who count former Link Academy standout Tarris Reed Jr. as a key player, earned an 82-71 victory over the Furman Paladins in the NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 20.
The matchup was held at Xfinity Mobile Arena and tipped off at 10 p.m.
Reed Jr. finished the game with 31 points, 27 rebounds and three assists over 34 minutes of action.
UConn’s next NCAA Tournament appearance is scheduled for Sunday, March 22 with a 5:45 p.m. start at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
