Reaser Earns Seventh Place Finish; All-America Honors In 1650 Free

AJ Kohler and Adelaide Reaser will represent Truman State Swimming at the 2023 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships. The event will take place March 7-11 at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.

We will update this page throughout the championships.  Saturday Update:After honorable mention All-America honors the previous night, Adelaide Reaser is a full-fledged All-American after a seventh place finish in the 1,650 free. Reaser swam in the one of the three morning heats of the race and posted the fastest time by far. She swam a PR 16:53.57 with her nearest competitor at 16:58.37.

Reaser then had to wait out the last heat of the race that opened up the final session of the championships. Her time was good enough to slip into the top eight to earn a podium spot and the All-American honor.

Reaser joins Natalie Galluzzo as the latest two-time All-American for the Bulldog program. Galluzzo finished third and seventh in her two events during the 2021 championships.  Friday Update:Adelaide Reaser earned honorable mention all-America honors in the 500 free swim when she placed sixth in the consolation final and 14th overall.  Reaser earned her spot in the evening session with a time of 4:58.09 then shaved just over one second off that time in the final at 4:56.94.  Reaser will swim in the longest race of the championships on Saturday in the 1,650 Free.

Kohler finished up his first championships with a 23rd place showing in the 200 fly event. Kohler swam 1:49.47.  Thursday Update:Kohler took to the competition pool for the first time on Thursday and placed 21st in the 200 free prelims. That time was four-tenths shy of his personal best mark of 1:37.10.

Reaser was ranked seventh in the 400 IM but finished 19th following the prelims of the event. She swam 4:26.81 after entering the meet with a time of 4:20.68.  Wednesday Update:The first action for Truman Swimming was by Reaser in the 1000 free. She swam a personal best 10:12.48 that placed her 18th in the event. Her previous best time in the 1000 free was 10:15.21.
