Taney County Sheriffs Office - Child Passenger Safety Week

Child Passenger safety week

During the dates of September 18th-24th 2022, the Taney County Sheriff's Office will be cracking down on Child restraint violators.

Missouri law requires children under the age of eight to be restrained in Child safety seats unless they are 80 lbs or 4' 9" tall.

The Taney County Sheriff's Office will be joining other agencies across the state from September 18th-24th for the annual Child Passenger safety week Law enforcement campaign. This campaign is to help reduce highway fatalities and serious injuries by cracking down on Missouri's child safety seat law violators.

Please help in doing your part to keep your child safe while they are riding in vehicles.

Thank you for your cooperation.
