On Friday, March 6, Bre’Aria Cannon, a former standout from Link Academy, helped lead her current college team, the Smith Pioneers, in a 73-55 victory over the Union Garnet Chargers during the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
Alumni Gymnasium was the venue for the 4:45 p.m. contest, marking the Pioneers’ first meeting with the Union Garnet Chargers in the tournament.
The Pioneers will play again in Alumni Gymnasium on Saturday, March 7, with tipoff scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
