Smith Pioneers, featuring former Link Academy standout Bre’Aria Cannon, fell 74-70 to the Bates Bobcats in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 7.

The contest tipped off at 7:15 p.m. in Alumni Gymnasium and marked the Pioneers’ first tournament meeting against Bates.
