A section of Caudill Way in Branson will be closed starting Monday, April 21, as a contractor begins work to install a box culvert. The closure is expected to last through late summer.

During the project, the portion of Caudill Way that includes the low-water crossing will not be accessible. However, residents of the Taneycomo Acres subdivision can still reach their homes via Celtic Drive and Jupiter Way.

The new elevated crossing aims to enhance safety and accessibility for school buses, emergency vehicles, deliveries, residents, and visitors during adverse weather conditions. “Please note this elevated crossing will allow for improved safety and accessibility for school buses, emergency vehicles, deliveries, residents and visitors during weather events,” according to city officials.

Traffic control measures will include signage and marked detours. Drivers are advised to reduce speed and remain alert near work zones. The project timeline depends on weather conditions but is designed to minimize traffic delays.

Funding for the project comes from both tourism and transportation taxes. Those seeking more information can contact the City of Branson Public Works/Engineering Department at 417-337-8559.
