The City of Branson has announced a series of upgrades to its Citizenserve platform, aiming to improve the way residents, contractors, and business owners interact with city services. During the most recent Board of Aldermen meeting, city officials provided an update on ongoing and future changes to the online portal.
Citizenserve is used as a central location for tasks such as submitting permits and managing other city-related activities. The current set of improvements targets simplifying these processes and making them more user-friendly.
A significant part of this effort involves rebuilding the city’s permitting process. The planned updates are expected to make it easier for applicants—including homeowners, contractors, and developers—to apply for permits, track their progress, and reduce confusion throughout the process.
The city also plans to expand Citizenserve by adding licensing and tourism tax services later in the year. These additions will enable local businesses to handle licenses and submit tax documents through one platform, which is intended to decrease paperwork requirements and make access simpler.
Alongside new features for users, technical enhancements are being made behind the scenes. These system improvements focus on increasing performance and reliability so that Citizenserve can continue adapting to meet community needs in Branson.
Education efforts will accompany each phase of improvement. The city plans to provide updates and resources designed to help users understand new features as they become available.
The enhanced version of Citizenserve is scheduled for full launch toward the end of the first quarter of 2026. Additional updates are planned throughout the year as part of Branson’s goal to deliver accessible and efficient public services.
“The City will be sharing updates, resources, and guidance to help users navigate the platform and prepare for the full launch.”
