The Branson Parks & Recreation Department has opened registration for its Fall Youth Sports Leagues, which include youth soccer, flag football, and volleyball. These programs are designed to help children build athletic skills and participate in team activities within a structured environment.

The Youth Soccer League is available for boys and girls ages 5 to 15. Practices begin on August 18, with games scheduled on Saturdays from September 6 through October 25. There are separate divisions for boys and girls in the U6, U8, and U10 age groups. The U12 and U15 leagues will be co-ed. Both individual players and teams can register. The deadline to sign up is August 12.

For younger children, the PeeWee Soccer Program is open to ages 3-4. Staff from Branson Parks & Recreation lead this six-week program that emphasizes basic motor skills, teamwork, and game fundamentals through drills and activities. Sessions run on Saturdays from September 13 to October 25. Registration closes on September 2; however, parents are encouraged to register by August 19 to ensure shirt size availability.

The Youth Volleyball League welcomes boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade. Practices start the week of August 25, with games held on Fridays and Saturdays between September 12 and October 25. Admission is free for players, coaches, and children under age twelve; spectators aged twelve to fifteen pay $2 per entry while those sixteen or older pay $3. The last day to register is August 19.

Flag football will also be offered for students in kindergarten through third grade at the RecPlex Turf fields. Both individuals and teams may sign up before the August 19 deadline. Practices begin the week of August 25 with games running from September 9 through October 9: second- and third-graders play Tuesday evenings; kindergarteners and first-graders play Thursday evenings; Wednesdays serve as overflow or makeup days. Admission fees mirror those of volleyball games.

Registration can be completed online at www.bransonparksandrecreation.com/catalog or in person at the Branson RecPlex facility. For further details or questions about any league or program offerings, residents may contact the department at (417) 335-2368.
