Branson Mayor Larry Milton has announced that he will return home at the end of November after several months of rehabilitation for a spinal cord injury. In a video message to the community, Milton provided an update on his recovery and thanked those who supported him during his treatment.
Milton sustained the injury in early July and has since undergone extensive medical care and physical therapy. He expressed appreciation for first responders, city staff, and residents who encouraged him throughout his recovery process.
“You’ve reminded me why I love serving this community,” Mayor Milton said. “My determination, optimism, and love for Branson remain as strong as ever.”
During his absence, Milton maintained regular communication with City Administrator Cathy Stepp and her team to help ensure city operations continued without interruption. He also commended Mayor Pro Tem Clay Cooper for assisting with leadership responsibilities.
Milton highlighted ongoing city initiatives, including the completion of the new Branson Police Department headquarters and neighborhood revitalization projects in Hiawatha Heights.
He stated that he looks forward to re-engaging with residents upon his return.
